What this Help Center covers, and how administrator and employee guidance is split apart.
INDpayroll is cloud-based payroll and HR software built for Indian startups, small businesses and CA firms - free forever for up to 10 employees. This Help Center documents what the product actually does today - every article here is grounded in the live setup wizard, screens and calculations, not in planned or in-progress work.
How articles are organized
Each part on the Help Center home page groups articles around one area of the product - Employees, Attendance, Leave, Payroll, Statutory Compliance, and so on. Within an article, look for two audiences:
- Administrator guidance - configuration screens, approvals, and company-wide settings, generally restricted to the
adminrole or a specific permission. - Employee guidance - what a person sees for their own attendance, leave, and payslips, mostly through the mobile self-service app.
Administrator and employee access are never assumed to be the same - where a screen is admin-only, the article says so.
A note on accuracy
Where a capability is a separately purchased add-on (Biometric attendance, Recruitment, Performance), the article is labeled Add-on. Where something is planned but not yet built, it's kept off these pages entirely and listed instead on the Roadmap page, so nothing here describes a setting you won't actually find in your account.
Two layers: FAQs and guides
Each article ends with the short answers people ask support for most often, followed by step-by-step guidance for the same task. Answers carried over from INDpayroll's existing Help Centre keep their original wording and are marked Existing FAQ so you can tell at a glance which text is long-standing and which is new.
